SunTech Drive started shipping the 1.0 version of its PicoCell controller, a UNIVERSAL CONTROLLER that can allow ANY PUMP to be used with ANY SOLAR PANELS. This represents a game changer for off grid solar water pumping. The main advantage of a solar water pumping system utilizing PicoCell is that affordable and readily available AC pumps (single or three phase) can be deployed in a system that requires up to 50% fewer solar PV panels which makes such a system much more affordable. PV panels typically comprise fully 80% of the total system cost for a solar water pumping solution. For pump power levels of 0.5HP to 3.0 HP the required solar PV panel capacity is typically half of what regular solar controllers require. Read more>>
